Hi guys,

I have the usual rust on my front doors and have recently acquired a new set of doors without any rust on them. The doors I want to put on are bare, so I'd have to swap everything off my old ones onto them.

Has anyone done this before, and is there anything I should be aware of before starting? Have done the job previously but not on a car with so much tech, so not sure if there's a guide for it.

Any help will be appreciated.

is the usual rust just those tiny pinprick blemishes under the external trim ?

Yeah, they've gotten quite bad on mine to the point where there's actual rust holes in the door so they need changing.

If you google “Lexus ls430 door replacement” there is a good list of videos showing removal of the door card, speaker replacement,lock/handle replacement and actuator replacements.

These should get you to a basic strip down position so just wiring looms and door computers to remove and transfer.

I know Mike “Bluesman” on here has replaced a door on his LS400 who may be able to assist you further.
