The original grill makes the lines of the car flow and enhance the rest of the design, whereas the sport version makes it look like something disturbing up front.

Grandad? The design is classic and that makes the car a grandad car, a classic is not a classic if it is designed today. There are many different ways of living as a grandad. Several grandad's have been winning marathons and I still think that one of the best ways to spend a days workout is above the clouds looking down on the sea to where I live opposite the marina.

The one on top is a classic, the one below is not

 

Both are fine cars. The F-sport is maybe more fun driving, but the first is a classic. Neither are made for track days. Lexus is luxury, not formula one cars.

2006-08, 2009-10, and 2011+ all have different grilles and surrounds. None of them are interchangeable

2009-10 insert:

Part Number: 53112-53140 With out Pre-Crash

Part Number: 53112-53160 W/Pre-Crash

2011-13 insert:

Part Number: 53112-53220 (old but still available some places)

Part Number: 53112-53902 (new)

Luckily, seller hadn't shipped it and cancelled.

Think il have a break from radiator grilles for a bit, stick with Johns idea.

While the overall shape seems similar, there is no way for us to cross-examine parts and compatibility in this way.

Hello, yes, i understand.

 

My point was that no one will sell that part for my car and guarantee it will fit, neither Lexus parts UK or any seller on eBay.

Thats after me giving them my cars VIN number, year etc

The problem is my car is not an F sport, hence they dont know

I can only buy should the seller state the part will fit, but as no one can then i dont want to take any more risks.

Have you looked on YouTube as there are a few videos of guys changing grills to f sport types.

The honeycomb centre part can be bought separately but from memory a little bit of it needs trimming to fit ones original frame.
