New to Lexus newbie question - courtesy lights?

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I picked up a NX 350h and very nice it is too.
Having just about got to grips with Lexus Link, Android Auto & 50 shades of mood lighting I'm stumped as to how courtesy lights can be enabled. I'd just like some vehicle lights (other than teeny door handle lights) to come on when I unlock the car and to stay on for a few seconds after I exit and lock the door - anyone able to tell me how!

Welcome to the forum and sorry to say no. Do not know how, but warning blink stay on a few seconds when locking and unlocking our car. How it is enabled I do not know.

Pretty sure one of the guys here know how to do that, but it ain't me.

Hi @DoubleVeteran Welcome to the forum.

Are you referring to interior or exterior courtesy lights?

If interior then the following extract from the car's manual may be the answer:-

If exterior then try this:-

Please note that the default duration for this is 30 seconds however this can be changed, albeit only by a dealer (or possibly a DIY job - at your own risk - using Techstream or an OBD solution such as Carista).

Hope this helps.

Thanks @Andy B
Any form of illumination would be beneficial, so I'll start with the interior as that's looks straight forward. Have to say coming from a BMW 335D with minimal extra tech (££££) this NX is quite the learning curve.

Next challenge is to work out why seat position / mirror settings aren't being remembered when my wife and I swap - we both have our own Lexus profile and separate keys.
