Hi all,

Recently bought an ISF.

Noticed one of my exhaust tips had fallen off. I didn’t do a huge journey so I retraced my journey but no luck. It was getting dark so I’ll go out again tomorrow.

Can these be bought individually from Lexus? Anyone got a spare tip as a new one won’t blend with the old.

Thank you.

Depends what’s available. Retraced the short drive no luck.

if anyone has one or two tips lying around please let me know 🙂

thanks

Probably cheaper to get a pair of rear boxes made by an Indy SS exhaust company, think these are about ÂŁ400 to buy

Car has a PPE exhaust but stock tips are in place well three now. I prefer the stock tips tbh. I may even put a stock exhaust on in the future not a fan of aftermarket exhaust but it sounds o.k i suppose.

Anyone know how much they are from Lexus?

Not cheap from memory, want to say around £600+…….I know I was quoted £400 for a pair of SS back boxes, I was enquiring a few years back when a few had fallen off with other members, I kept mine and had them check the fixings when I had the exhaust made, I also remember thinking I’d have the tips extended rather than pay the extortionate cost to replace

I bought a 2008of a forum member earlier in the week. Ive not given it a proper wash but will do. Im planning on detailing the interior today. Ive hardly driven the car tbh its been parked up, had it MOT needed a few bits nothing major.

Ive got four cars need to shift one or two of them lol.

The tips flying off is really annoying hopefully someone will come along to the rescue.

Very occasionally they come up on eBay, try Lexus parts direct but as others have mentioned, not cheap! Not in stock on rockauto either.

Amayama says it has stock, depends if you want to order from Japan or not?

Part no. 5210753012 or 5210653012 - classed as 'rear bumper extension'... 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for this. Im assuming looking at the part number these are sold in pairs?

Im going to beed 5210653012 as its the lower drivers rear which has gone missing. Are these clipped or welding in?

This will help you….

They are attached with self tappers at the bottom and I seem to remember lugs at the top………

No probs…..Yes the unit as viewed from the rear is one piece and the two chrome oval tips slide over the small protrusions…and tack welded as per attached pic….

@BTCC_ Racer

thank you.
All sorted. I knew abt it to be fair from other owners.  Hayward and scott seem to cheap on out on the clamps

now have some beefy miltek exhaust clamps on and some welding done! All good

So in solidarity, my upper drivers side tip has successfully escaped.

Anyone here got one I can purchase?

Alternative is a new beefy exhaust,  but I've always liked the rear view of the isf.

Just to check, just discussing with a fellow member a replacement. Are all the tips the same and interchangeable?

Posted

Top and bottom ones are different but can be changed from side to side. I just had mine welded earlier. I know a thing or two about lost tips! Hope you get them sorted.
