One of the trim's on the roof bars on my RX 350 went missing. I'm struggling to fit the replacement.

Has any one some insight in to the secret knack of both sliding it onto the yellow clip that's in there and getting the two little tangs on the trim to clip into place.

It looks like the way might be to extract the little yellow clip (see picture) and snap it all into place. But I think I would need to take the bolts out and lift the roof bar off the roof. But that seems a bit too complex a method.

Guru tips most welcome

I fitted one to my old 400h, I seem to recollect that you lined it up and then slid it forward and it clicked into place.

Hi were did you get the trim end caps as we lost on in the storms we had last month so am looking for some new ones thanks

I did finally get them fitted. Really fiddly. I used electrical tape to mark where the yellow part was on the car and the part it fits into on the trim and carefully lined them up.
