They're not cheap. I had to get one on the opposite side replaced last year. Local garage did it for £320 supplied & fitted.

Does Bearing Mart still exist? There wasn't a bearing they couldn't get hold off and a darn site cheaper than dealer prices.

The problem with the IS, is that the bearing comes as part of a complete aluminium assembly with ABS sensor etc.

Not sure it can be split apart to replace only the bearing without destroying it in the process.

I think Koyo are the OEM equivalent from memory, someone will correct me I’m sure if wrong but there are considerably cheaper options on eBay etc.

just keep away from the Chinese cheapo stuff.

You can buy the hub itself separately and they knock out of the arm on the front.

Last time I looked auto doc had several options with a spread of pricing.

As always depends on your budget and approach to parts vs value of car.

Bearings and bushings in either steel or aluminium housings are pressed in. So basically if a bearing part number can be supplied then the bearing itself can be obtained. Thing is one has to find a place with a bearing/bush press.

Brill.  Thanks.  Local garage has quoted £335 inc vat to do it which I think is taking the **** a bit. Will try autodoc with the part number and see what comes up.

What has he actually quoted for? A replacement hub?

I know Ken hadn’t had a chance to reply yet but I think I know where your going Vlad…

Im thinking it’s probably a hub quote too….. IF….. it was a high quality OEM part (£200+ from dealer) or high quality equivalent £150ish…plus an hours labour ( depending where you are ) £75-£100….plus Rishi’s slice.

You could get to £300ish quite easily.

The killer detail is making sure it’s not a £60 pattern hub for that money.
