Power Tailgate Kick Function

Can anyone advise what models are fitted with this function and how it operates, can it be selected and de-selected from the menu? Can’t get mine to operate and I’m beginning to think it’s not fitted.

Doesn't answer your question, but the six week old demonstrator I drove last September did not have this function.

Neither does my car.  Someone else on this forum ( cannot locate the thread ) bemoaned the lack of it.

Salesman told me no longer fitted, something to do with tow bars, not that I could imagine many people wanting a tow bar on a UX.

I got mine new last April and it had been removed from all specs on new cars then I believe so it's probably just older models that have it

My 2021 RX has it...but I can't make it work - the salesman did, when I collected the car, that's how I know it has it.

I've got it on my UX and it can be operated in three ways:

• There's a button on the lower right, next to the button that releases the fuel filler flap.
• Pressing and holding the boot release button on the key fob.
• Making a slow 'kicking' motion towards the underside of the car.

On cars without it, pressing the release button on the boot lid opens the boot and allows you to lift it manually. You can't do this on UX's with the electric function, you have to press the button and let the motors open it up. It's actually slower...

My 2019 UX 250h Takumi has it and it works everywhere except the local Tesco carpark(I'm assuming some radio interference there).
