I hope they don't take up the idea, otherwise I'll rue selling the Marshall 8x10 cabinet which I've never been able to transport to a gig today! I think it looks quite stylish, but how big must those wheels be?

That and fit the Toyota Highlander (or Sienna) AWD hybrid drive train. I would be interested in that for sure.

I've never thought the ES saloon was a 'looker' but IMO that's even worse. No doubt it would be an excellent 'shooting brake' as my old dad used to call them.

Rear seats folding down would have been a real bonus like a lot of the competition.   Must have been Battery location that influenced no fold down seats I guess.

There is a structural brace behind the rear bench, and also for the hybrid there is additional reinforcement in the roof hence ES hybrid cannot be equipped with panoramic glass roof. But yes, all of that I think is to counter the effect of additional weight/stress at that location. Even if the seats were folded, the brace would come in the way.
