'Check System' message.

Occasionally when I start my LS430 I get a message on the display saying 'Check System' everything else appears to be working properly. The message disappears if I press any of the display buttons.

Since it is controlled by the Nav unit in the boot, check that you don't have water getting in there. Does the Nav still work?

Yes, everything else still works. Once you press any button the display and functions operate as usual.  

Update: I went into the diagnostic menu under the options button (headlights on off 5 times) and cleared some faults that were logged in there.  Not sure what the faults were as they are all Hex codes.  Anyway this has stopped the message from appearing.  The car was right all along! 'CHECK THE SYSTEM' I checked the system, cleared the logged faults, all is good. As to what the faults were, I will worry about them another day.
