Apple CarPlay for 2012-15 RX

Has anyone installed apple CarPlay in their 2012-15 RX? If so what brand and what's the verdict?

I recently fitted a Grom Vline 2 to my 2018 RX and so far I think it's excellent.

I like the idea that with the Grom unit you don't need to use apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and can actually download and run almost any app directly from the Vline itself. Of course, you can use ACP/AA if you want to but I just use the Vline now.
