Tailgate manual release

Does anyone know if there is a manual tailgate release on an NX 300h and if so where is it>

You crawl inside the boot and there’s a little panel down near the lock.  Pop that out and you’ll see the little catch.

Thanks for this - I will try this myself but out of interest.  Once you do this, presumably you can open your boot manually from the outside?  Unfortunately my boot decided to stop working and I am trying to delay paying Lexus £2,500 to fix (at least until I come back from holiday).  I asked why this would happen and so far the only explanation I have is bad luck...

I think if it was locked when it failed it could stay locked if you close it again.  What on earth have they quoted £2500 to do?

Skipping the annual dealer service has unfortunately cost you dearly here. 

My gut says it will only release and open it once - and it’ll stay closed when shut again.
