WARNING MESSAGE

Hi new to the forum but not to Lexus however had a message appear in the centre of the dash when returning on a journey of some 20 miles on rural roads has anyone else had this and how was it resolved. Thanks

If it was me I would check what manual says and see if there is any item inadvertently placed over vents.  I would then ring Lexus asap for advice.  Car is under warranty and problem should be sorted by Lexus.  Ask how far you could use it.  There is very high voltage in the area and not something to explore unless  you are competent.  It seems like whatever activates the cooling fans could be faulty, or blown a fuse/faulty relay or fans seized if not obstructed are some of possibilities.

Please let us know what is found to be the problem and how it is resolved.

As above, check there's nothing blocking the traction Battery cooling vent in the rear cabin. Perhaps a coat or rug, shopping bag?

It was simple as a dog drying coat/blanket that was restricting the air flow. All seems good right now.

With a dog in the car, it could be needed to clean the filter in the air-intake more regular.

is it not a huge worry for owners of cars with Hybrid Batteries that something so simple as a dog blanket, or other unknowing but simple impediment, could cause a catastrophic issue arising in day to day motoring ......

Not as long as you're mindful that all vents need to be kept clear at all times.

At the risk of sounding stupid, where is this cooling vent in the rear cabin?
