US spec radiator expansion tank

A few years ago I was looking for an expansion tank for a GS430 as the one on my vehicle at the time was leaking.  I seemed to remember reading that whilst the US version fitted, with only a push fit cap rather than a full twist on cap as found on the UK version it was not a suitable swop out.  I now have the same issue with my SC430 and can source a US one cheaper than from Lexus 14 miles down the road.  Does anyone know whether I can or should?  Thanks for any help

Have you also considered UK aftermarket suppliers which should provide the correct type?

had the same problem and was unsure about an American version. In the end put a search out on a site that fed it on to multiple breakers and managed to find the only one in the country it seemed, cost me around £150 from ACD Lexus breakers in Lancashire
