Cheers Duncan, the grease has sorted it out, decided to give it a whirl about 90 minutes ago and just slapped some of the Carlube on the bit at the end with the plastic and the blue metal bit (don't know the proper names!!)

Seems much better now, nowhere near as tight as what it was - I'd have looked like Popeye if I'd have kept that as it was!

Didn't hardly put any on at all and it's made a huge difference - much happier with the box now as to be honest as it was it made the car pretty much unusable in town driving and I'd been tempted to swap back at one stage.

Still getting the noise but getting a new noise now, like a slight knocking - will take it all apart again at the weekend to try and nail that one. The gear whine noise is there in mine as well, seem to hear it more in low revs as you start increasing a bit..

Yep same here.... I tried to insulate it a little better...but I seem to have made it worse!!

Gonna try something different tonight!
