Retrofit Heated Seats?

Hi All,

Recently bought a 2001 Lexus IS200 with the cloth seating. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with retrofitting the half leather heated seats into these?

Why not keep the seats you have and fit (or have fitted) heater pads? I had this done to my Merc rear seats to very good effect.

Physically removing and fitting the seats generally involves 4 bolts and a wiring loom connector but the electrics are a little more involved.

Lexus normally have the additionally required wiring loom already installed but not connected and you will also need the switch panel and maybe fit a fuse or 2 in the existing fuse box.

Being Japanese imports I’ve never had heated seats in either of mine, my latest one only has rear heated/massage seats but it’s never bothered me.
