Grinding noise under the car - Please help !

Just noticed a grinding noise coming under the car when starting the engine, does anyone know what could this be?

Hard to say but it has what sounded like a tinny noise so something loose ?

Could be anything but an exhaust clamp / cover or suchlike so a visit to a workshop so it can go onto the lift is the route to take IMO

Sounds like a loose heat shield, very common.

It seems that you're right as it's very similar to the one in this video, i'll bring to the garage so they can check it out, fingers crossed.

Usually the holes in the shield get bigger due to corrosion so the remedy is simply putting big washers on

I was surprised at the cost of large washes! It's cheaper to drill holes in some 2p coins!!

Pop into Wilco and see for yourself, they have a section where you can choose a bag size (small is well big enough) and fill it from what is on display, screws/washers/etc and a small bag cost around £3 and that is the best bargain you will find in there and yes they have some real big washers with real small holes.

Apologies for not updating this before, the noise was resolved by replacing a exhaust shield clamp.

Yes I've been busy but that's not excuse, the true is that i forgot, i come to this forum for help so it's just fair that i also update my posts, was reminded by @Texas to do so
