Hi everyone,

I have had my GS300 Mark 3 for 3 years, and it's not a new issue, just I didn't think much of it until recently. The issue is, between speed range 20 - 50mph, when I take my foot off gas, the car doesn't decelerate a lot, or very slowly, leading me to using brakes more than I would have liked. I'm a new driver and I used to think this is just my poor driving style & poor planning, but recently when I got on rental/friends cars, the deceleration is much more pronounced and it's much easier to navigate without resorting to braking. I have to say those cars have much less powerful engine, so is it a thing with big engine?

More to do with the gearbox - it will select the highest gear possible on the overrun. Change down manually if/when you want engine braking to be effective.
