I've dealt with Lexus Stoke for several years now, first with my LS600 and more recently with our RX450h (which has just completed 19k miles).

Yesterday afternoon, rang them to ask about fitting two new Bridgestone tyres. I was quoted what I thought was a very reasonable price (and around £40 less per tyre than my local tyre fitting company).

Turned up this morning, tyres fitted, nice chat with Joel who sold us our RX, admired a beautiful Bentley they had in the show room, and back home by 11.

Great service as always from Lexus Stoke.

No post is complete with a couple of pictures, so here's the RX with new tyres:

if you was tempted to buy the Bentley I'd go for the SC430 or whatever the latest Lexus big convertible might be ......  it won't breakdown and cost you the earth to keep maintained and on the road like a Bentley :wink3:

I think if you are buying an £85k Bentley you wouldn't be that worried about the running costs?

Certainly there is no doubt which car wins on looks and the on the sound it makes though!

you're right there ......  my next door neighbour has that shape Bentley Continental too .....  last year he covered about 2k miles at most .... his other cars too don't seem to get much use ..........  very low running costs, at least fuel-wise methinks .... all parked out in the road of course .......  not seen his Jensen Interceptor this last summer so that's probably tucked away in storage somewhere and that's probably quite expensive NOT to run tho' :whistling:

I still hanker after that elusive Bentley S3 from the '60's

How big are the wheels on that Bentley?!

I’d guess 21 or 22 inch

Lexus Stoke, glad you have good service there but this was my experience…………..

Visited Lexus in Stoke this morning that I had booked in for 11.

Take a seat, sign this, key, big plastic folder held out for me as I wondered why ? (all this in a kind of authoritative tone without the hint of a smile) and knew who we were from the off (guess they must have seen me parking up)

Oh! the folder was for me to drop my key into it, anyway the nice lady at reception made us a coffee and we took a comfy seat as I saw the next customer go to the desk where the same guy simply took his key from his hand ?

We both looked at each other wondering was it me ? (as you do) and no we both thought we had done something wrong (how strange)

Anyway 45 min's later a tech guy asked us to follow him outside to show us what he had found where he took his time to explain what he had done & found. He thinks that the rear dash cam camera lead that had been installed so neatly (by me) was causing the seal to lift just enough to let water by as he had checked carefully and could find no former trace marks anywhere that you would expect had it leaked before, he had sorted the wire to another route and jet washed the area to double check.

A real nice knowledgable guy who I would be very happy to work on our car again should the need arise who complemented us on our choice of Lexus (and meant it) and bid us a good day. ]
