NX 2022 delivery date

Recommended Posts

No delivery date as yet Simon. As others within this forum have suggested previously, it can take anything up to 8 weeks. I'll keep the forum posted as to progress if anything dramatically changes.

My NX350h was ordered in October last year and yesterday was advised build in progress on the app. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the car to arrive at the UK dealer?

My NX 350h took one week to build and another 8 weeks to arrive the UK.

I ordered an NX350h F Sport in sonic grey with panoramic roof on 28th Nov ‘21. I’ve also had the update this week stating that the car has finally gone into build. I’ve not had any official pick-up date but going by the accounts on this discussion thread, I’m expecting it to be mid November.

Mine was 34 days at sea. "Build" is, I think, a bit misleading. When the app advises build in progress, that's correct but it doesn't come off build until it's on the ship so the 'build' time varies depending on when the next ship is available. Once off-loaded at Portbury, it appears that my car was one of the slower ones to be turned round at Derby (just over 2 weeks) but I expected this as I had told my dealer not to hurry mine through as I wouldn't be picking it up until 1st September. Others were keen to pick up their new car as soon as possible in August and it was right that they got priority, about a week in one case I believe.

An update for those who are still patiently waiting for delivery news on their NX350h. Just had an update via Lexus Link to say they have AT LAST started to build it. Ordered Premium Pack Plus in Sonic Titanium with Dark Rose interior on 23rd November 2021.

At last,  someone else that has opted for Sonic Titanium.  😃  I was beginning to think I was the only one.  Great choice inside and out @Summerbj

Got another update from my broker and said there’s another delay to my 350h F Sport with Takumi which the order was placed end of Oct 21. Was told last month it was on track for mid Nov 22 and now another push back to Dec 22. This would mean over 1 year of waiting time and this is really getting quite ridiculous especially seeing orders placed before mine are getting delivered/still on track… Will be a bonus now if I get it before Xmas sigh.

Well, the delay continues. But pleasant surprise today. Received a response to my letter from Lexus Director, £500 compensation and the Lexus hamper below for the delays. Well, I am speechless.

Well, not bad compensation, but you have been waiting since November. I wonder if we all get that once it's been 10 months! I have been waiting 7 months today since my 350h Takumi order on 12th Feb.

Not sure I will see the car before December 2022. Rather have the car than the compensation but every little helps in these tough times. Great customer service as they have definitely raised their game this time.

I had a chat with a manager from Gatwick, my car was ordered on the 12th of Feb and it had to be delivered this month, however I was told another 5 months wait. So mid of feb next year. 12 months in total. 🙄

My 350h (Premium Pack with Lexus Link Pro) was ordered 24th January 2022, latest delivery date I have is 21st February 2023 (no guarantees, obviously), so pretty much exactly 13 months for me.

I'm now carless, however the profit I made on my Mercedes E Class PCP deal will pay for a lot of Ubers and we still have my wife's car.

Did you email them or send them a physical letter? I actually emailed them yesterday and see if they can “escalate” the order…

TrueFleet Vehicle Leasing provide a good summary of manufacturer lead-times.  This was updated earlier this month and is pretty much consistent with the Lexus guidance issued in July.   However it does show some improvements in other manufacturers vehicle lead-times.  e.g Audi Q3 sportback PHEV for delivery in Q1  and  now under 26 weeks but confirms Lexus continues to prioritise NX PHEV over NX Hybrid variants.

There are also some lines where data clearly has not been updated.  e.g Tesla.

Lexus Factory Order Lead Time

UX Hybrid            = 8-9 months
UX EV                    = 12+ months
NX Hybrid            = 12+ months
NX PHEV              = 7-8 months
ES Hybrid             = 8-9 months
RX                           = now in run-out, new orders closed
RC F                       = 12+ months
LC                           = 11-12 months
LC Hybrid              = 8-9 months
LC Convertible      = 12+ months
LS                            = 15 months

Just had an update from Lexus Birmingham.  Thay are now being told mid-April for my car (so 15 months after order)!

According to the chap I spoke to that is about right and they are being told by Lexus that it's about 15-18 months for a 350h now.
