Front tyres

Hi Guys

I've have my SC for about a month now, and finding the front end very skittish over the white lines, or anything that is not smooth.

Is this normal or just the wrong tyres?

Would be interested to know what the preferred boots are for these cars.

Summer tyres tend to do that on the lines at current low temps. Are they summers, how old? Older harder tyres are even worse at low temps.

Thanks for the info. They are summer tyres and are brand new, fitted by Lexus before i bought the car.

Sounds like a good set of softer Dunlop SP tyres might be better?

I opted for all seasons here in the UK. Michelin CC+.

Made the mistake of summers once on a new car, then a dedicated set of winters, also a mistake as they're overkill for most of the UK.

Goodyear vector 4 seasons, and the new conti all seasons are well reviewed too.

I bought a couple of Goodyear recently main reason was they have good rim protection, TIP  £195 each if you drive into your local national tyre depot!! Order and pay online, book in at your local National tyre depot £125 each fully fitted inc vat

I don't think UK differs from Europe or Eastern Europe? According to me the best tires for my SC430 2007 are " Michelin P sport 4 S " and " Pirelli P Zero"  both summer and winter tires In other words " all season tires" are only good when you're driving maximum +/- 100 km/h. Apart from that what is the height of the lines in the UK?

When you drive a motorcycle it's normal to take this into account!

Actually there is a big difference between uk and mainland europe weather because of the polar jetstream.
