Came across these that look quite similar to the popular VLand tail lights, but these ones are "dynamic" with flashy start-up animation and sequential indicators.

Does anyone have them? I think the smoked version looks great on the black car.

Amazing what can be done with LEDs these days and to think that only a few decades ago no one could produce a single blue coloured one.

My LS430 has hybrid rear clusters, bulbs in the inners and LED outer sections.

I’ve seen the sequential indicators factory fitted so compliant but rear lights might pose a problem at MOT unless programmed to “normal” mode.

I've got the smoked version of these fitted on my 2010 IS250 F Sport, aside from the lack off weather seals on them they work wonderfully and look very slick. Not had to do anything with the resistors as any facelift car has the LED tail lights as standard so this shouldn't result in any engine lights or errors occurring.

I'm intrigued by the legality of flashing red rear lights on a car in the UK anyway. As far as I know its illegal.

Years ago there was an invention to do with rear brake lights flashing with different intensity according to braking pressure/force. Seemed a great idea as those following would be able to see just how much the car in front was braking and would follow suit. However this invention was deemed illegal. Things may have changed since then legality wise but I personally don't know. I'd steer clear of these 'dancing ' red lights. If I encountered a car with those I'd probably thump the driver in the face for causing distraction unnecessarily.

All current Lexus models have dynamic brake lights that pulse if the system detects emergency braking.

I didn't know that Peter. Looks like a law/rule has been changed then.
