Are not Lexus also owned by Toyota??

Yes, Lexus is Toyota’s premium brand.

The point I was making is that the Jemca dealerships are ultimately owned by Toyota. Most dealership groups are normally entirely independent and not owned by the car manufacturer (e.g. Steven Eagell also mentioned are entirely independent).

I've arranged my previous Extended Warranties and the the 10 Year Plus Extended Warranties through Lexus Reading (Jemca

Followed up on your recommendation and eventually spoke with Renaldo who arranged everything in a five minute phone call. Initially Lexus Reading were telling me to use my local Lexus Dealership, but explained had already done that with three local Dealers : Lexus Derby who after two weeks were still waiting for a password to access the system!!! (there words) : Lexus Nottingham unable to confirm in writing that Roadside assistance was included : Lexus Leicester adamant that Roadside assistance had been discontinued since early 2023.

Many thanks Phil for your guidance. Maybe it is time for Lexus (Toyota) to take all the Lexus franchises in house so we all have a uniform experience

Good to hear that Lexus Reading were able to sort it out for you - the Lexus Reading service team (Renaldo is one of them) have always sorted mine quickly when I have renewed - I can understand them asking you to use your local Lexus dealer first as I don't know if the dealers make any money on the warranty and as it's a national warranty you can get repairs done at any Lexus dealer. My car is now coming up to the 150K mile limit for the warranty (though it's still less than 10 years old) and so I won't be able to renew my warranty any longer now.

Hi all,

Just want to raise this again; I have a 2014 IS300h that is coming up to its final 10 year service.

I contacted the cr@lexus.co.uk email and specifically asked about the 10 Year Plus Extended Warranties as my local (Lexus Twickenham) had no idea what I was talking about.

They emailed back and said its called "Extra Care Warranty" and that they have emailed Twickers to make them aware.

Is this the same? I have no further information at this point so wanted to check with the hive mind for advice.

Thanks so much.

On a separate note you can get the 11th year free. E.g if your car was registered on the 15th of Oct 2014 for example. Get it serviced before it is 10 years old so maybe on the 1st of oct and you get 1 year more of service activated relax for the next 10k miles or 1 year.

The one I took out on November last year was still called Lexus 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty - they may have changed the name I guess - so long as its underwritten by Toyota hopefully the same cover - check if Lexus Roadside Assistance is included as someone on another thread said it may not be anymore.

Thanks, mine we registered end of July and it's being serviced today, so if I just ask them they should say it's covered for another year I guess then?

Will read the fine print, but if I can get another year free as above that would be great!

Yes thats my understanding and others on the forum have even got an email confirming the same. Might be best to clarify with them. Mine turns 10 in Nov and i plan on doing the same thing.

I had mine serviced last year before it’s 10th anniversary and less than 100k and I asked if I get another year of relax warranty and was told yes. When I got the service details it said warranted till 6 September 2024, and I later received an email confirming it with my policy number
