Sill Repair Advice

Hey guys,

The dreaded rusty sills have befallen my IS.

So far it's bubbling but it can only get worse and id like to keep the car as rust free as possible for as long as possible.

I am located in the Beds/Bucks area. Does anybody have any recommendations for bodyshops that also do welding that would be able to carry out the necessary repairs? (Cut out rotting sill, weld in new plate, fill, paint)

Thanks guys, Sam

Hi Sam and welcome to the LOC.

Sorry can’t help with a local body shop for you but pretty sure other members will come up with recommendations.

Rusty sills on the IS200 can get quite serious even spreading to the arch areas, seem to remember another member posted up the same repair with updates, there are a lot of layers to remove and replace to do the job well.
