Key Fob

I have been very pleased with my lexus, over the last two days once whilst I was driving it said it could not see my key fob and on another occasion when I went to start up, the same.

Lexus Service Reading said they had never come across this, any ideas?

Most probably a low Battery in the fob. Is it the same with the other fob? Cheapest quick solution is new batteries.

I've had the same issue with my spare key. Both keys have brand new batteries, however the spare occasionally doesn't get detected if it's in my pocket, whereas the main one does. Not much of an issue as I just use the main one, but just thought I'd share as it might be a common issue.

We have 3 keys and all does function perfect. New batteries are sometime not new. They could have been stored several years and lost power.

Happened to my wife.

Swapped in new, quality batteries and been fine since...

A mobile phone and fob in the same pocket can cause problems too.

If I've got the fob in the same pocket as my Bluetooth earbuds it won't be detected
