Pondering IS300h To RCF Upgrade

Recommended Posts

Having come to the RCF from a straight six BMW M, the fuel economy isn’t that much worse, despite two extra cylinders. On a long run, it seems quite reasonable to me, but it’s all a matter of context.

Try running a Mustang, or an older Vantage, then see how the fuel gauge makes you weep at night.

I agree, 4.6 in hard second in my XKR but boy it's worth it 🤣

Tell you what though, I really am semi excited about the first forum member grabbing the Track Edition RCF. That thing is a future classic in waiting but the price just isn't budging while they sit in Lexus Show rooms.  If i could grab one for 50 we would be talking.

Could buy an RCF Carbon, add your own spoiler and tit exhaust system for a lot less than those bad boys.

I would consider trading part of mine !🤣🤣🤣

Well John, one definition of appendage is -

A part or organ, such as an arm, leg, tail, or fin, that is joined to the axis or trunk of a body.

It's the tail or fin that's intriguing and if you were to lose such a physiological extremity would that make you a demi-John? 🤔😁

`Tis a  witty ponderance upon which I shall dwell Amigo as I sit upon my balcony Rioja in hand, basking in the pleasant (if occasionally a little too warm) atmosphere of an Andalucian day.

I have from today until Friday October 22nd, when I shall embark upon my trusty steed manufactured  in Austria for M.B. bound for U.K.

I shall travel via Madrid, Bordeaux and Normandy and at some stage will glance and marvel at the Odometer which will read 250,000 miles ,

It brought me here via Calais, Normandy, Rouen, Orleans, Clermont Ferrand, vIaducs  de Garabit and Millau, Barcelona, the wonderful Parador de Tostosa, Valencia and Granada.

It is often said that to be born an Englishman is to win the lottery of life, and I for one, have been, am, and will continue to be, humbled.

Enjoy Greece Phil and if you receive half the pleasure from your holiday as I am receiving from mine, then we are two very lucky itinerants wandering throughout this tiny Galaxy of ours.👍👍👍

I have always had a leaning towards inspirational/motivational quotes from much sharper observers on life than myself. Amongst my favourite ones is "happiness doesn't come from getting what you don't have but from wanting what you have and remembering why you wanted it in the first place" (I added the last bit 😊). To these favourites John I shall add your vignette of defining an idyllic almost semi-nomadic lifestyle where you ask very little from life but receive boundless gifts from it's generosity if you have the right attitude.

And with apologies to your namesake, John Augustus Shedd, " A car in a garage is in a safe place, but that's not what cars were made for" Sante 😎
