Hi folks,

I have put up my isF for sale on Autotrader this afternoon. A reluctant decision which I know I will be regretting for some time but circumstances dictate so.

If anyone knows somebody who may be interested, please let them know and any information required, I'm happy to oblige.

Thanks!

Genuine question- does it attract unwanted attention like an M3 would? I wouldn't say I live in the best of areas and I wouldn't want the car vandalized.

Also what are the servicing costs like? When was the last time the cambelt and water pump were changed?

Thanks

The car is very discreet. If someone knows what it is, then and only then does it attract attention and it's usually from  enthusiasts in my experience.

The isF has a chain and water pump is pristine, so no concerns there.

Had the major service in June '21. I've got a 3yr service plan so averages under £350 per yr including the MOT.

👍🏼

Beautiful colour and second to USB when I was on the hunt for one.

Good luck with the sale.

As for the reply about unwanted attention I don't think so. Mine parked up anywhere doesn't tend to get noticed that much. Most people have absolutely no idea what the car is bar a Lexus. More often than  not, I get asked who did the custom exhaust tips (they assumed the stacked exhaust was a modification and not standard).

Great cars. I love mine and I couldn't see me parting with it for anything else (unless they become too expensive to own one day!).

Looks fabulous in red and with those lighter wheels, I much prefer them to the Oem dark ones I have on mine - what is the name of the wheel colour and paint code if possible?

One of the big attractions of the IS-F is how discreet it is. Though the gorgeous Mesa Red slightly undoes the stealth

Not as much as the USB though!!!!

I've asked the garage to get me the details but the refurb guy is on holiday so hopefully have an answer.

When I bought the car, it already had the lighter shade alloys so not sure what they name is. Hopefully find out soon👍🏼.

Thanks I want/need my wheels done as wife has been busy flirting with kerbs over the last year and a bit, and a wheel scrape looks worse when wheels are dark.

Are they shadow chrome by any chance?

Lovely ISF , seen this one on autotrader. Little over my budget. How good a car will I get for under £16k?

You’ll be luck tbh, Mo’s car is cheap tbh, prices are looking to be on the up, I’ve a mate with a USB and he keeps sending me ads with 08 plates being marketed at near £20k…….they’re not the easiest to sell on but they are worth every penny IMO

I saw a red IS250 10 plate the other day which was subtly disguised to look like an F at firs t glance with F sport badging on the side.  Thought it might be this but was disappointed.

The red looked absolutely fabulous. I’m getting my wheels refirbed in this colour.

Its shadow chrome, I’ve checked it out with some wheel specialists.

Alas, the beast is sold. It was interesting to see the statistics on Autotrader. I had over 10,000 views in 6 wks and 20 callers. The great thing was that there were no buyers that wanted the car the same night as the wife needed it for the school run the next morning (strange being half term..)!! I had indepth conversations with many potential buyers and the more I told them about the car, the more I hoped they would not buy it 😆! All the buyers had never owned an ISF and some hadn't even heard of one..it was the advert that had reeled them in. There were a few 100k-phobic..I guess you gotta see it for yourself that this car isn't labouring sitting comfortable at xxxmph and ticking over at 2000revs!!! After many enjoyable conversations, it was the 'first to see will buy' though I despise that statement in an advert😂! The car went to the perfect buyer, an enthusiast with many famous race  tracks under his belt and driving experience of numerous leading German brands. However, this V8 blew his mind and the throttle response was something he was not expecting. Just like myself, he was seeking something different and that is exactly what he got. The decision to buy was straightforward. In the last 6 yrs I've only seen two other ISF's and that is why this car is so special. As the new owner started up the beast and pulled away, I was absolutely gutted and still am. Nothing on the road excites me and with the ulez in effect, even hopes of owning a classic 190E have been dashed! It's planes, trains and Ubers for now!! Adios gentlemen, it's been a blast and such a shame that due to the pandemic, a meet up was never an option. Safe driving✌️

I did see the other adverts and was wondering if I'd underpriced it🙈

I regret not buying this, unfortunately was busy with work and other commitments. Best of luck Mo, maybe an RC-F/GS-F one day?
