I am thinking of buying 2008 Lexus Hybrid with 460 with 46000 miles and the dealer tells me batteries are Good up to 120,000mls is this true please

Toyota has a lot of experience with these hybrid batteries, given they launched the Prius all the way back in 1997. Which is apparently already 24 years ago. I was concerned myself as well before I got my RC300h, but failures are so rare that it's hard to even find a quote for a cost of replacement. Toyota's experience with hybrids was the reason I went for a Lexus.

It's not at all like the 12v accessory Battery that does need replacing every so many years.

Quite helpfully the rise of BEV means batteries are actually getting cheaper.

Hi Stephen and welcome to the LOC.

Which model are you considering buying as the LS460 is not hybrid, that’s the LS600h?

If it really a Hybrid, then you are advised to discuss with Richard of Hybrid Battery Solutions.com AS HE HAS MORE EXPERIENCE THAN ANY OF US.
