I dont believe the UXe has OTA updates either. I think its more a change in how connected services is interacting with the vehicle

Connected services (Lexus Link) shouldn't really be active once it has sent location / mileage info. Some models have Battery guard which notifies the owner if the 12v Battery is getting low - for those vehicles there must be some activity going on after shutdown, but that is mainly for MY20 and onwards vehicles. UXe is going to be active most of the time if you are able to control heating remotely.

Toyota in the US has a big issue with RAV4, Camry, Corolla not shutting down correctly and the Battery going flat. There was a firmware update for that, but I'm not aware of the same issue in Europe.
