TPMS Replacement & Programming Guidance

Recommended Posts

Hi all, here is an update of main dealer prices in the UK for GS450h Gen 3's. Prices are too high for this type of job so it doesn't seem worth it. I'll try to find independent car garages that can code the TPMS sensors, if not I'll have to do the OBD option that @Bob99 mentioned

Questions:

  1. Can I look at the physical sensor to get the ID or do I need to use a tool to read and copy it?
  2. Any recommendation of sensors to use? If I'm not going main dealer do I need to use the Toyota / Lexus ones?

My 2008 GS had the TPMS replaced and coded by Dave at Lex-Tek just before I bought it. I'll dig out the paperwork and see how much he charged. Can't be that different between the two 3rd generation cars.
