Hardtop problems

my 2009 IS 250C  hardtop folds down fine but sometimes will not come back up.   Any help would be appreciated.

When did this issue start happening, and is there anything obstructing the area where the convertible cover is?

I do have a Biomedical Science degree so I may be 20% qualified to talk about ED 😂 sadly not a specialist though
