Davey, On the basis of what our fellow Members are reporting, it is;

*Relax is free, applied automatically by Dealer up to 10 years old/100,000 miles, contains conditions.

*Extended Warranty is currently being phased out, purchased by owner for 2 year period up to 10 years old 140,000 miles/ with an outstanding range of cover for all Electrical/Mechanical items.

* New Extended Warranty being introduced on  a Dealer by Dealer basis, purchased by owner for 12 month period, up to 15 years/150,000 miles with a limited range of cover better than offered by Relax and possibly inferior to the current Extended Warranty. FULL DETAILS ARE AWAITED.

150,000 miles is close to 241,100 kilometres. 15 years is a long time. Supposedly not only for the IS models.

If Lexus is offering such a warranty in UK it could be in the rest of Europe also?

That the cars are reliable are a proven fact, so how much we generally will save (if anything) is hard to know, but for the unlucky ones with expensive to repair problems it certainly could be an interesting warranty to have.

Now to the question that will answer if it is so good that we all need it:

How much does it cost and which are the conditions?
