Hi all I am having trouble with my rear tyres on my lexus gs300 mk1 due to a well known garage they have always knaffed up my camber s and always ended up with new tyres every year so I found a professional camber toe specialist who has it spot on its never driven so well in the 5 years I ve owned it but I need new tyres due to over inflation the middles have worn but I ve never been told what to run them at so the man who done the camber toe suggested 33psi giving it when hot around 35psi but now I need a good hard wearing tyre I m running 275/35/18 at present pirelli p zero are Bridgestone any good

Hi

I don't know if this helps but I use ASDA tyres which you can find on the internet you select the tyres you want and buy them and the price includes fitting and the get them sent to your nearest tyre fitters to fit. And yes it is is spelt the same as the supermarket

Run at 10% below the maximum rated pressure on the sidewall of the tyre. Adjust downwards in small increments until ride comfort is satisfactory.

Tyre pressure is a function of axle load. It shouldn't matter what size tyre you run or wheel diameter.

If you run something outside the recommended tyres from the handbook start with the recommended pressures and monitor the wear, adjusting accordingly.

My diver always ran the tyres at the max pressure for best handling but then he didn't have to buy the tyres!

Inner shoulder wear due to camber may be due to the natural setting for the model. My RC will wear the inner shoulders on the rears, the geometry is as designed.

Centre wear will be due to over inflation, so reduce the pressures...

Just had four new Goodyear Efficient Grip SUV tyres fitted to my NX. After 1k miles they are superb. Very quiet and very comfortable, so much better than the OE Yokohamas that came off. Wet weather grip is night and day better as is grip in damp conditions. Dry weather performance is also massively better with a much better feel on initial turn in too. I really would recommend these tyres. I specifically wanted better wet weather performance with minimal loss of dry weather grip and low road noise.

The issue I had was on a mk1 gs300 but touch wood now my camber and toe adjustments are now set correctly from a independent person who only specialises in this I have had no issues with wear
