Hello

our 02 car has developed a fault with the LCD screen for climate control, with several areas of dropped pixels

My research shows that the only fix is to spend around £120 and an hour with a soldering iron to replace it with the new one supplied by Tanin Auto

Has anyone here direct experience of doing this please?

Thanks

Tim

Ask on Lexusworld.com too Tim.

I’ve replaced a lot of the LCDs in the early LS400s, you need to be very good at desoldering/resoldering, have a decent TCP iron with a fine bit, braid and liquid flux or you could damage the print.

Also confirm if the replacement is suitable for RHD models as they are different for LHD on the LS400 and cost a lot more for RHD but not as much as these at £120.00!
