2004 RX300 replacement pipe for auto box oil cooler.

Hi,

Has anyone had to replace the above which is a U shaped combination pipe attached to the centre of the front X member as mine has perforated with corrosion so leaking auto fluid.

I've never had to replace it but if you have problems getting a replacement, have a look for a branch of https://pirtek.co.uk/ close to you where they can make up various types of pipes and hoses etc.

Thanks Steve, I think it’s the one in the bottom left hand corner which has 2 brackets attached and in the general shape of a U but the picture doesn’t show it fully.

Have replaced the pipe, it cost £97 but grateful it was still available for a 17 year old car.

I had the same problem but thought the cost of the pipe was a bit excessive, so I bypassed it and fitted hoses direct from the transmission to the oil cooler. 

A bit tight as there's very little space around the connections. Probably why Lexus had the steel pipes on the crossmember, for easy assembly at the factory.
