Well.... it wasnt just a wash. Haven't had chance to do it but gave the UXe a decent new car detail.

Started off with this and doesnt look too bad from a distance -

Process -

Wash - DetailedOnline Lava snow foam, Carchem 1900:1 shampoo. AS Smart Wheels, APC, Autoglanz Rebound

Decontamination - Powermaxed Tar off, DetailedOnline Fallout remover. The car didnt need a clay and didnt need a polish so wiped the whole car over with KKD Prep and went straight onto protection

Protection - Raceglaze nano wheel sealant, Angelwax H2GO and Gyeon can coat

Tyres done with Meguiars Endurance - dont really like it but needed to use it up! Quick vacuum inside and all done - for now....!

I envy the energy you have. For us lazy bums, we just let the car go through a washing alley sitting inside watching the car get cleaner. Not same result, but enough for us.

I’m really starting to like that colour, and the light interior suits it nicely. Personally I think the UX is an interesting looking vehicle - and still don’t understand Chris Harris on Top Gear dismissing it because he said it looked dreadful! I think he meant it didn’t wear a German badge…🙁

It keeps me going I suppose. Have 3 cars now to keep cycling through and another one when the daughter in law joins us in August!

The colour is quite something. Its hard to tell on the photos but its got a lot of fleck in it. It seems to sparkle from quite a distance.

I agree. I prefer something different. There is a Merc C-Class in the family which you might see in the background, but its OK as its Hyacinth red - quite a rare colour on those too!

Well done looks a cracking job you've done there. Can see your a bit of a specialist especially looking at all the products. Auto glym shampoo for me then extra gloss protection twice a year. But i struggle with my age now bending etc. Great post by the way.
