Please report back to the forum with what you find out, I would be interested in a retrofit valve control.

Will do, I've already sent off the enquiry.

Just got an e-mail back from Quicksilver stating there is no valved system for the RCF.

Oh that's a bummer. I think when they were in the discovery phase of development it was always their intention but perhaps not enough demand to develop and/or manufacture it further.

There is a YouTube video showing a valved QS system. Perhaps it is/was a pilot...very early model RCF so...

Personally now that the cost of a new Quicksilver is £2500 my thoughts about the other two switchable exhausts is a no brainer really. I guess having only paid £500 for mine despite it being a bit lacklustre on the carbon fibre ends (which Quicksilver want £600 for replacements) I think I'll put up with the drone.

Plus of course trying to work the throttle to reduce the drone can brighten up/give you something to do on an otherwise boring journey.

The GT Haus seems to be about the same price as the Quicksilver unless I've got that wrong. I would emphasise that is axle back which is what I'd go for. Armytrix is a lot more.

Armytrix is £4.8K mid and tail section, but in my opinion worth every penny

Do they sell just an axle back system or do you have to buy the additional pipes. I couldn't see just the rear section for sale. Quality is superb no doubt.

Same as I only paid £800 for my QS

Give it a good overhaul and looks new anyway

Def not worth £2200

Rear section only is like $3.5k for valved option, plus you have to contend with shipping/ import, so it unfortunately starts to stack up $$$

Ah didn't realise there is no UK distributor, that's a bit of a pain with duty too.

Just over 2yrs of it being fitted and still looks brand new and gives me the girlie giggles every time i drive it….

much better on a cold start on a cold morning 😈

It's interesting why F cars drone. Even in stock, the drone is there, it's just magnified by an after market exhaust.

Armytrix is MUCH louder than a Quicksilver BTW. Not sure how quiet it is in quiet mode.

Hi all.

just wanted to introduce myself, I’m Steve from the south coast, and yes you guessed it I am the proud owner of a 2017 RC F.  I kinda did things the wrong way round after reading other people’s rcf journeys, it seems most go from this car to the dark side m4 or c63.  I’ve come from a c63 which I loved to the rcf, I have to say I am also loving this new experience, ok the torque isn’t as good, but hey it’s good enough and the sound isn’t as sweet, but it’s sweet enough especially at 4K, it doesn’t turn as many heads, but it turns some.  it’s comfortable and great to drive and has lots of gadgets, the cold air on your ***** is different lol.

Im pleased as can be with this new set of wheels and look forward to being here, modding the car and enjoying all that is Lexus RCF

best wishes all

steve

Welcome to the Gang steve.

definitely recommend an aftermarket exhaust system, the quick silver is good especially through tunnels 😉.

serious head Turner….and get looks of “what the f*** was that” 🤣🤣

The armytrix mind you from what I’ve heard are something else!! Be aware the neighbours won’t like you anymore 🤣🤣🤣🤣
