Can someone please explain to me the differences between the RX300 & RX350 ?

Which model would you recommend and is better?

350 absolutely.  Better ride, better fuel consumption, no timing belt to change (350 has a chain), better road holding, .  I have had a 2006 350 for10 years and it's been faultless. Lovely car.  I will change it for a 450 eventually but not for a few more years as there seems to me very little to gain.  Car tax is more and it uses a bit more fuel but servicing can be done by local garage and no potentially expensive problems such a inverter failure etc.  Don't get one with air suspension though.  Good luck. They aren't easy to find but should be quite cheap now.

How do I know if it has air suspension or not ?

You have the height control switch next to the heated seat controls (underneath the stereo) on vehicles with air suspension.

Very expensive, why?

because even though the 350 engine produces less CO2 than the 300, the emission bands changed at the same time, and to a greater degree, so the RX went from band K (RX300) to band M (RX350).
