hello

As a disabled person I was looking for an extendible car brush that bends at two sections to enable me to wash the cars roof from the ground without getting on a ladder... ( I can't physically stand on a ladder anyway ). Does anyone have any leads as to brands or makes of brushes?

thank you

Do you have a Karcher type pressure washer?

Karcher do a rotating brush that fits onto the lance. Unless you are very short (I am 5ft 8") it will easily reach all parts of the roof.

Many on here would not wish to use a brush on their paintwork but I have had no issues.

I don't want to appear flippant but in your position I might consider just spending a few bob at the local hand car wash.

If you search on, 'car roof brush' on eBay, that brings up quite a few...

I have to admit to taking my cars regularly through the local IMO carwash or a reputable hand wash without noticing any adverse effect. For me, the time saved and convenience far outweigh any 'damage' to the paint, and no one has ever asked me how the cars were washed when selling on.

Note that I am not criticising anyone who spends hours detailing their car: I am the first one to admit that the results are indeed stunning - if done well - and I can understand the satisfaction one gets of putting the effort in. It's just not for me.

I use the local hand car wash and then apply protectant / spritz afterwards. I use Chemical Guys products which I find excellent.
