Spoke to lexus but not yet booked in.  As per advice I sat in back and sub seems to be working. I am wondering if its the source ie spotify from my Iphone? CD seems to work better.

If the sub is working, it could indeed be the source. I have noticed that some Bluetooth streaming, and some USB music, sounds a lot worse than music played from my ipod. I don't stream music generally in the car; I'm very much a  'music-hopper',  I'm constantly switching tracks/artists on my phone and it's not safe (or legal!) without Car Play, so I just tend to download stuff and keep it on a 256G ipod. See what your dealer says.........

I helped someone recently with poor quality BT streaming from Spotfiy on an IS300h.  So not sue if this may help, but the solution in their case was to change the BT profile version from 1.4 to 1.3 on their phone.  We did this to fix a cover art non-display issue, but it also had the added benefit of fixing audio quality issues too.  The music was tinny before the change.

I know how to do his on android, but it sounds like you are an apple user - not sure how to change it on that, but might be worth a go if the issue is with streamed music.

This forum is great thank you all for the support/advice. Researching around it looks like ML on 2017 LC500 is too front loaded and this issue has been commented on by quite a few other owners. Using the fader makes very little difference. I suppose when its the top of the range lexus one would have expected a top of the range ML system. It not as good as the one in my current RX450 and way below par compared to the one I had in the GS450h which did shake the car with its base.

At some point if I plan to keep it may take it to an audio specialist and upgrade.

My LC is 2018 and the ML sound system is extremely good. Was very easy to get a superb sound with excellent bass response on my preferred blues,rock and jazz.

This is regardless of source .The DAB radio is excellent and I still play cds and ipod.

Thanks for that. I have watched some YouTube videos that suggest that it is impossible to change radio station while driving. Is this really the case?
