Hi all

my Lexus rx450h 2010 showing Check hybrid system code P2603

Looks like this may be your problem:

I'll send you some info by PM that may help you further.

My 2010 is doing the same but I can clear fault for  number of miles by disconnecting Battery and fault doesn’t reappear for some time. There seems to be a great looking answer but the graphics shown kindly by Herbs is very blurred on my screen - would love to find a solution (which won’t involve an expensive trip to Lexus main dealership!) - any other suggestions would be gratefully received 😊

Just tap or click on the attachment in the post by Herbs and it open as clear as day....

after travelling over 100 or so miles with check hybrid warning triangle (don’t judge, I was still trying to decipher the last solution given with no joy but I am just an owner not a mechanic) the warning advice has now disappeared…………… curious to know why (and a little relieved!)

Thanks for this Jim - I’m quite clearly technologically rubbish and the clicking worked!  Don’t quite understand it but hoping to find a mechanic who can suggest a workaround.  Meanwhile the fault code has disappeared! Bizarre.

Still nurturing our IS200 1999 vintage ………..

You  are doing fine

Lexus do a stand-alone hybrid test (I think it costs around £90) which would give you peace of mind in relation to the check hybrid light.......a successful test then gives your hybrid Battery a year's warranty - although I see it states it is for vehicles 'up to 15 years old', so you may want to book it in soon...replacement hybrid batteries are an expensive item, so if it were me, I would get a check....

Thanks LexusJim much appreciated! Local Lexus dealer does this for £50 (or free as part of a service). To be clear then - by having this Battery check it will let me know if the intermittent fault code is valid?
Weirdly the dash lights around the media block randomly switch themselves on and off when driving- sometimes when encountering bumps! Connected? I do appreciate your input. 💯

The check will let you know the state of your hybrid Battery....I haven't seen any posts on this forum from owners with a problem hybrid  at 10 years old, so 🤞

Mention the intermittent code when you take it in.

Flashing (sometimes) lights on media unit sound as if there is a loose connection somewhere....not sure if this would result in a fault code or not.

If you ask lexus to look at it they will charge you for their time ..... and they are not cheap...

Might be worth seeing if you can reach and connections and, gently, push them together.

Maybe someone else with more knowledge on here can advise you better..
