450h RX 2009 model dash board showing hybrid check system and red Battery light Aa diagnosed with error POA08 DC converter failure. Anyone had experience or guide me? Lexus carried out service and reset but the sign appeared again. Local garage specialist in Toyata hybrid recommended by aa patrol come up with same diagnostic results. DC converter replacement required?

If Lexus themselves and a local specialist in Toyota hybrids are coming to the same conclusion, then I'd say yes.

Lexus would like to carry out another diagnostic check. However, AA and local Toyota hybrid repairer come up with same results.

Would be interested to see the difference in quotes for this repair from the two garages.  No doubt the indie would be prepared to fit a second hand unit if you want.

Who is indie? How can we take it forward as to how we get this second hand fitted? I seen few video on you tube and all talks about few cell may be bad need replacing. There are 30 cells to generate 288v jeans 9.6 v each if one or more cell stop producing at 9.6v then those cell needs replacing. Obviously, it is not possible to do by myself. It has to be a qualified person to do repairs.

Considering the age of your car Raj, I would go to the indie!
