Hi all, considering whether it would be worth changing the boot lid on my 2003 SC , rather than respraying ? i have an option of buying the same colour boot lid but was wondering what was involved in changing the boot lid, as it is a sophisticated bit of kit would i be unearthing a can of worms by unbolting the hinges ect , or is it a simple job , if anyone has experience or advise it would be very greatly received .

Given the complexity of the motorised boot hinges and roof syncronation, getting trim out and back and positioning the boot lid to gain access to the hinges I would personally have the paint job done.

If you damage a hinge they are around £650.00 each!
