IS350 Japanese import

Seen a couple of nice IS350 imports... not sure why Lexus didn't offer them in the UK!

Anybody been down this path?

I'm guessing they would need underseal doing due to the difference in climate, specialist insurance.. wondering how the IS350 is for servicing in the UK, if parts are readily available, if dealerships will touch them..

I would guess the Road Tax will be top bracket?  Insurance quote would also be interesting!

Road Tax is £270 apparently so less than an IS250. Fuel economy wise, it's about the same. 

Tempted to get an insurance quote just to see.. if I do I'll share.

Ive got an is350 as a third car , last year pre dec 21 i was paying only 216 pounds through my churchill insurance . They then stopped doing jap imports and i had to go somewhere else having to pay a lot more 470 pounds area through a keith michaels 

Note - i carried out some fuel mpg this summer driving on motorway, dual carriageway , in city driving glasgow etc over a full tank and driving freely i was getting 29 mpg average using e5 fuel much better than i expected

Im trying to co-ordinate what discs and pads fit the is350 2nd generation model in comparison with a uk lexus model , at this moment i believe that the gs450h shares the same front disc and pads as it shows on some overseas websites but can anyone confirm this and also rear type shared

That's correct. I've got IS350 front calipers and the GS450h (non F-Sport) discs and pads are a perfect match for them.

The rear brakes are just the same as an IS250 with vented discs. 310mm.
