Hi, I have an 05 is200. When I clean the inside of my front windows I have noticed that something appears to be breaking down. Does anyone know if it is some sort of lacquer? Is there a tip to remove it? Whatever I try just seems to make it worse

Not exactly sure what you mean, have you got any pics?,could it  be that the previous owner tinted the front windows and the film is now beginning to flake and peel off 🤔

It does have a very slight tint on it. I had it valeted and the window ended up looking like this afterwards.

What comes off is almost like a glitter dust.

I would say it's been tinted and maybe whoever valeted it used some sort of chemical on the glass🤔

Any ideas what I could use to remove it? It looks awful as you can tell from the pic.

Try a little WD40, shifts most sticky residues.

Might need softening and then removing with a razor blade?

Got same problem on LS inside windows.   I discovered that I had used wipes designed for cleaning leather instead of glass.  Chemical on wipes shows up as a cloudy film.
