Wiper Blades

Just joined today after buying a 2000 GS300 Sports two weks ago. Need new wiper blades and will probably go for the PIAA silicones. Does anybody know what sizes the blades are? Are they both the same? Or different (like the IS)?

why not just get replacement rubbers? About £5 each for your dealer.

because I heard that they were crap (also - see similar dicussion on IS forum where msot contributors agree)

I always get new rubbers from the dealer and for once i can say that they are value for money.They last about a year and i never garage my car.They are lovely when the are new they are so quiet.

Must admit, have never had any trouble with Bosch ones. They don't squeak which means alot to me! However they don't last all that long, a year at the most. So if the replacement rubbers last that long then they're worth it!

Had my bosch ones for a while now and no squeek but the mk1 gs has wipers like a kit car anyway they just seem second rate compared to the rest of the car

I'm pretty happy with my PIAA wipers - need to change them every year though, they get very smeary when they get worn

How much are these PIAA ones? are they complete with the spoiler thingy megingy too....

Always had squeeking wiper blades, changed them three times in last year, on Bosh ones now lasted about a mouth and now they are squeeking, went to Lexus Wolverhampton they had a look and said apply some Rain Away stuff on the screen to give it some lubrication :duh: , ok i did and yes it stopped the squeek for a short time but its back, the arms look fine, this is driving me mad.

Anyone can tell me what blades to buy and where from.

mine are smearing know- been meaning to get a replacement set for a few weeks

hiya all

Right see the thingy that stops the blades lifting at high speeds were do i get another set of them... See i didnt see them when i last changed my blades through them out so now i dont have any and at 90mph or so the visablity starts to get poor in the rain... Any help would be apperciated...

AS Matthew says, PIAA are launching a blade with a spolier on.

You can also get Bosch ones with a spoiler on from Halfords, or I guess you could buy an original blade from Lexus.

I have just bought a set of Halfords own £13 as mine were useless i noticed there previous owner had put on 2 21" blades for a moment i thought Halfords had got it wrong so was glad to see they are suposed to be 21" and 19"
