Two Very Interesting Questions

After all this time I thought these noises was Charecteristics of the car. until I drove next to other Lexus's and found out there Engine is quieter than mine. I had this car for a month now, brought it from a Lexus dealer. I will see them on Tuesday.

I know the six cylinder is what I should only hear (Buzzzz). Im I right?

Well, at low revs my engine is 'higher pitched' than at, say 3k, but i wouldnt describe it as a whine...

Yes mines just the same as yours. Maybe more of a wirrrring noise. Heard upto 3000 revs. Probably noise level doesn't increase so you can’t hear it above that

well, mines normal... I wouldnt say its loud though, its just the engine tone!?! Mind you, i do like my music...

After looking at older posts, sounds as if whine or wirrrr noises is common on the IS200.

I reckon this is down to the Clutch realease bearing, dont know if its the same problem on mine. Cant wait to get the car check out on Tuesday. Hope this problem can be sorted out.

If anyone one gets funny noises on the car like Whine or Wirrr, get your car checked out.
