Is220 2007 not cranking after changing thermostat

Hi,

I changed thermostat on my is220d which was challenging but managed after everything tried to start car but starter motor not cranking at all any suggestions please?

Do you have power and ground at the starter when the key is turned? If not there may be an electrical connection missing somewhere.

Going to check that today. When pressing start switch to start the car dash lights disappear.

Not 100% sure but I think that's normal as the starter draws a lot of current. On mine the same thing happens, if the stereo was on it loses power when the starter is turning over.
