New Member - Needs New Alloys?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone - I bought my new IS 200 SE Auto a couple of months ago - Granite Sky with Auto. I absolutely love it.

However, I have noticed that the alloys are already 'pitting' along the leading edge of the spoke. Is this common? The dealers says he will replace all 5 wheels, so I guess this is a common problem?

What happens in 3 years time when the warranty ends.......

Yes, the alloy corrosion is common. The dealer will replace them with 'refurbed' wheels, which are much better than the orignal ones (powder coated i believe)...

You shouldnt have too many probs after then...

Oh, and welcome to the club...

I'm still looking for costs on refurbed sport alloys. I have the standard "S" version alloys at the moment, which are in great nick

so do i, but they aren't on the car!

No matter what i do i can't sell the poxy things tho, so ggod luck if you ever try and get rid of them!
