Do Your Headlights Flash When Alarm Sounds

all that happens on my car is the horn sounds.. i have no flashing lights or indicators.. whe i lock or unlock mt car with buttons i only get a clunk from the central locking again no lights flash.. i know it arms because the red light on dash activates..

what should it do as i was just told horn sounds and that was it.. but due to looking in the manual for lexuspaul i came across this..

yes it is... and whats more annoying is that it goes into every other problem solving but does not mention about if headlights dont flash.. the anual actually shows LHD and RHD DIAGRAMS

I have a 1995 model and nolights flash when the alarm is armed.

The only light that blinks is the red light on the dash.

I can have a look at instructions in my manual if it will help.

maybe its me but it clearly states in my eyes that they should the manual is for 1993 onwards..

but then in the matrix chart of problems and symptoms it does not cover headlights not flashing...

tried to scan it but was the best it would pick up..

still readable though just..lol

I must admit that i have looked at all the wiring diagrams for doors/boot/hood/and horn and no where do any of them show a link to the headlights.. so maybe they never bothered doing it.. shame as i would like them to flash...

YES it is a workshop manual.. :D and you can get one from your lexus dealer if you wat to part with a lot of your hard earned cash.. there are 2 volumes and they are over £100 each.. mine happened to fall out the back of a boot..lol

I have a 94GS from nearly new and the lights have never flashed on activation or anything,just the LED on the dash when set.

My system is called the TVSS 111B or so the book says

Dec 1995 - Dec 1997 the GS300 has the TVSS IIIB Cat 1 approved alarm.

Yeah, mine has the early alarm too. Even my owners manual doesn't say the lights should flash or anything. It's only supposed to make a sound when its triggered.

Will probably fit an aftermarket one to mine. Just need the wiring diagram for the central locking system then i'm sorted - will get one alarm to activate both alarms.
