Got my eye on a car in London. Dealer wants to transport the car without me seeing. I understand the near 170 mile journey one way, is not a necessity.

I would like to physically see the car really. Any thoughts paying nearly £9000 without seeing.

Get him to agree to return transport if you don't like it. I've bought a few cars like this. Never had a problem.

Guy at work had a knight mare with a seat , problems galore. he is willing to do a video walk around but it doesn't show everything like looking

with your own eyes.

Why not? I've done it with at least two high(ish) value cars £33K & £20K. One was a recent transaction. Seems to me if you get a written agreement to return the car at dealer's expense you should not  have any problems.

Perhaps I should add that all my dealings were with main dealers if that makes a difference.
